The Montessori school of the Kinderwerkstatt is a bilingual day school for children from the age of 6 to 12. It is located at Oberdorfstrasse 62 in Dübendorf, which is about a 10 minute walk away from the main station. The Kinderwerkstatt is a state approved, private day school, under the supervision of the Bildungsdirektion (educational administration) of the canton of Zurich and we are a certified Montessori house by the Assoziation Montessori Schweiz (AMS). The students are bilingually taught and cared for in mixed age groups by qualified teachers. The primary school of the Kinderwerkstatt offers an alternative to an overly competitive school system that treats every child the same. We have made it our goal to see every child individually and let it learn and study at its own speed. Our teaching and learning philosophy is not restricted to the Montessori pedagogy, but we also implement the newest educational achievements and cover the curriculum of the canton of Zurich completely.
