Who we are

We are a Montessorihouse with day-care, day kindergarten und day school

The Kinderwerkstatt offers all children a place to play, learn and live since 1993.

Our day care offers an affectionate, professional care based on Maria Montessori’s pedagogic principles and on pediatrician Dr. Emmi Pikler’s theories. The children are looked after individually in a small, family environment. The day care exists for more than ten year and is very appreciated as an integral part of the community of Dübendorf.
The children in kindergarten and primary school are cared for in mixed age groups in a bilingual English and German setting. The Kinderwerkstatt is a state approved, private day school, under the supervision of the Bildungsdirektion (educational administration) of the canton of Zurich and we are a certified Montessori house by the Assoziation Montessori Schweiz (AMS). Our teaching and learning philosophy is not restricted to the Montessori pedagogy, but we also implement the newest educational achievements and cover the curriculum of the canton of Zurich completely. 
 
Day care (Kinderkrippe) for babies and toddlers from 2 months to 3 years of age
Day kindergarten (Kindergarten) for children between 3 and 6 years of age
Day school (Schule) for students between 6 and 12 years of age
